I am seriously confused regarding our Pass-Thru Contributions and how to enter the transactions on the Contributions side, if that is even correct.
We "sponsor" 14 local missions - Hope Haven, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, etc. I have set these up as liablility accounts.
With my limited accounting knowledge, I understand it is not considered income for the church. However, how do I record the contributions to the individual church members?
Would I set up Contribution Fund numbers for each pass-through account and have it debit checking and credit the respective liability account in the Maintain List of Contribution Funds?
