I checked the Help file and did a search on Spell Check and could not find any information about a Spell Checker.
I don't know about the rest of you but I need all the help I can get to locate and correct typos and spelling errors.
We are using group E-Mail to distribute information in our congregation and I feel a method of spell checking would really help out.
Has anyone solved this problem or have any ideas that may help.
Thank you, Jim

Re: Need Spell Checker for E-Mail in Version 9
There is no spell checker included in the program. The email funcition is a simple text entry box, nothing more.Jim C wrote:I checked the Help file and did a search on Spell Check and could not find any information about a Spell Checker.

However, there is a way around it. Create your email in a true word processor like MS Word or Word Perfect. Run the spell check, select the text, then copy and paste it into PC+.

Thank you for your suggestion and I will use it.
I thought there may be a way to use something like "ieSpell" which works on many web sites including this forum when you are posting and since I tend to think in a serial fashion this would be helpful.

Re: Spell checker
ieSpell is an Internet Explorer add-on, it would not work for Powerchurch, however, there are third-party spell check programs that will check the spelling in Windows programs. At Download.com, I found AutoSpell Complete Check 6.2 that, according to its description:Jim C wrote:Thank you for your suggestion and I will use it.

Add full-featured, interactive, automatic spell checking to virtually any Windows program. AutoSpell Complete Check is an easy-to-use, universal spell checker that identifies spelling errors as you type. AutoSpell works with e-mail, NotePad, Wordpad, Yahoo Instant Messenger, personal information managers, spreadsheets, financial and graphics programs. With support for multiple languages, Internet, legal and medical terms, your messages will look the best.
Version 6.2 adds Thesaurus to Autospell, supports ASP.net, and improves Directory Expander.
No reviews on this , and I havn't tried it but it is free to try. There are others there too you can try and then buy if you want.
