Hi,
I’m preparing to upgrade PCPlus from 8.5 to 9 and we have Pocket PC. Now, I downloaded the maintenance release for Pocket PC and the note on the page reads as follows:
Pocket PowerChurch Update for V9
Fixes an issue with Pocket PowerChurch not working properly with PowerChurch V9 when passwords are enabled. Extract contents to your Pocket PowerChurch directory. You may need to re-convert your old data to get this to work, or restore a pre-install backup. (385K)
Okay, so I extract the file to the pastor’s “C:\Program Files\PowerChurch\Pocket Powerchurch” folder. I’m good with that…
What does “You may need to re-convert your old data to get this to work, or restore a pre-install backup.” mean?
I was just going to drop the PCsync.exe into this folder and then “resync” the Palm. Do I need to do something other than that? What data would need to be re-converted? Sorry, I don’t understand…
Thanks,
Dan

For a one or two users of Pocket PowerChurch, it was reported after an attempt to Sync the PowerChurch Plus version 9 data down to the Palm Device, PowerChurch Plus version 9 would no longer allow any user to log in. If you are not having this problem with PowerChurch Plus, you are ok and will not need to reconvert any data.
