Monthly contribution reports by date

Post by BGUMC »

I am able to pull Monthly contribution reports by date historically only up to calendar year 2010. I'd like to pull a report for 2009 as well.

Can anyone help me with this.

OK .. dumb question ... are the 2009 Contributions in the system ?? I was just able to go to our system and pull from 2009 without a problem. What version of Powerchurch are you using ?

We're using Ver. 11.1, and the fact that I can't pull 2009 contributions from the system has me really puzzled. I have hard copies of contribution statements for calendar year 2009 printed in early January 2010, yet I can't duplicate that date range today. I'm assuming that as we upgraded from Ver. 9 a number of years ago, that historical data would be preserved, but perhaps not.

The upgrade should have brought all the data forward. I am running v11.5 and have all my data all the way back to v8.5. Are you getting any error messages when you run the report? If you look at one of your members that you know has contributions in 2009 under their personal profile look at the contributions tab and click on the funnel then check "all contribution dates" and see if the contributions in 2009 are listed their.

Exactly ... it may be that they didn't do a complete upgrade, they may have just started from scratch, at which point the only way you'll get earlier data is if they kept the older version of the software so you can access it.

It is possible to delete old data in contributions. Is it possible that someone was trying to clear out old data? In version 11 and up, you can look in the Contributions -> Setup -> View Contributions Audit log and see if anyone has deleted old data. It would be listed under the Events column.
