Payroll Deduction for Contributions

Post by machavez »

We use an outside payroll service. How would I set up a payroll deduction for an ee who wants to deduct her tithe from her payroll check?
Essentially, I don't know how to set up the correct accounts to work with the contribution module.
Thanks!

I think you would have to manually enter the contribution unless you are using the payroll module to track your outsourced information.

Here how to do it, if you were using the payroll module:

In Payroll, you assign your employee's envelop number in their personal information.

You then create a pay item for a Contribution Deduction. You assign the Contribution Fund number to the Pay Item. You assign the Pay Item to the employee (who has their envelope number assigned to them).
