OS=Vista
Software Version=10
Software installed and opened fine on my XP computer but does not open after installation on my Vista computer. When I dbl-click to open, a windows program error pops up "Invalid path or file name". The response options to the error message are 'Help', 'Ignore' and 'cancel'. Clicking 'Ignore' results in a new message saying 'Visual FoxPro has stopped working'. I have uninstalled and reinstalled w/o success. Even tho' support is supposed to be free for awhile, this software apparently sat around for a year before being discovered by the right people. I can't seem to find any leads on a solution to this problem. I'd appreciate any help.

It's hard to diagnose without knowing what file it is that is invalid...
As support goes, the free 90 days that you get as a new user does not start counting down until you actually use the support (by phone or e-mail).
If no one has installed the software, chances are, you still have that 90 days free support waiting.

Re: "Invalid path or file name" Error When Trying to O
I'm a bit confused...
If the technical staff simply directs the end users to essentially contact tech support, why do you have this type of forum? I'm having the same issue in 11.5 and was searching for an answer so that I didn't need to contact the staff, even though we're still under contract.
I'm totally open to being called on the carpet for this comment, but it just seems so odd that a user's question would be responded to in this fashion.

The initial questioner's last sentence is pertinent here:poptechsupport wrote:I'm a bit confused...

The questioner was worried that the support period was over. That said, the forum is here for both staff and fellow user support, and Zorak is right, getting as much information as possible helps with any answer.Even tho' support is supposed to be free for awhile, this software apparently sat around for a year before being discovered by the right people.
In your case, some additional info is also needed:
What version of Windows are you using? Are you using the program as a standalone install, or over a network?
A quick hint first off ... did the program install on the root for the drive ?? That is, if it was installed on the C:\ drive, did it install in the C:\Powerchurch\PCPLUS115 directory; or did it install under the c:\Program Files(x86) directory??
The program should not be installed under either \Program FIles or \Program Files (x86) directories, as Windows Vista and Win7 put access restrictions on those directories.
