Payroll

Post by angel1 »

Hello,

I know this is not the correct way to proceed, but wanted to know what problems I would encounter if I did payroll and the chart of accounts are not yet properly setup. We are on version 11.5 and our Office Administrator has been handling payroll via a web service, there is now some problem as the withholding tax is not correct and so I set up everything in the payroll module and the correct tax is showing.

Please let me know if I should just have continue to do payroll the way it has been done or move to using the payroll portion even though my chart of accounts are not yet complete.

You can use the Payroll area if you don't have Funds Accounting completely setup. However, make sure you don't do any posting until the FA area is setup as the Payroll module needs to be pointed to the correct accounts in FA to create the transactions it will send to Funds Accounting.
