We are using Version 11.1, MR dated 6-26-13
Our office uses 2 different computers to send out bulk emails. When I send out a bulk email to members from my office computer, I use the Personal Profile option "Send E-mail message to a group" and select the status I need. When I view the addresses that the message will be sent to, there is one particular address that is missing. In looking at that record, the box is checked on the Contact tab for "include in bulk mailings" and it is not checked for unlisted. The member's status is correct also.
When I try to send a message from my home computer, the address is included. The data files are backed up to my home computer at least twice a week.
Any suggestion on what might be causing this?

Re: personal profile not showing up on email list
The only reason I can think of for this to be happening is if the "Include in Membership Module Reports" option is not checked. But if you are doing a full backup this should be the same on both computers.

I checked that also, but it's only on the Family record. I'm using the personal profile option to send the emails.
Thanks for your response.

OK .. you say you use two separate computers to send out emails. If you were using the same database, the system should pull the same data. Are you doing a FULL backup from the office and FULL restore to the home computer?
The reason I ask is that the FULL restore of all data would include any filter that you may be using in the 'send to a group' . Full backups includes all the program settings and data.

I normally just backup data files since I email the file to myself at home - otherwise, it's too big. that being said, I've checked the settings at both locations and they are identical.

I take it that you're using the Powerchurch backup when you do this, if you're doing a FULL Powerchurch backup, you're not getting all the ancilliary files.bjwhitson wrote:I normally just backup data files since I email the file to myself at home - otherwise, it's too big. that being said, I've checked the settings at both locations and they are identical.
A full Powerchurch backup does not include the programs, but it does include other files that are necessary.
Also, in response to a previous entry here, I seem to remember that the Include in Membership Reports setting, while on the Family record, covers all the personal profiles under the Family Mailing List record.

Neil is correct. If the Include in Membership Reports setting on the Family record is not checked that profile will not be included in any emails.

The "include in Membership reports" box is checked on both computers. It sounds like we just need to be diligent in looking at the successfully sent list of addresses to be sure that this particular one is included.
