Moving from hybrid accounting to PC+ - Help!!

Post by UdoAdam »

-Currently using PC+ for contributions and Simply Accounting (SA)for statements
-Planning to convert to all PC+
-Want to run SA and PC+ parallel Aug - Dec
-Need to set up PC+ data Jan - July (willing to do entry all over again)
-Hoping to do a mass update using either an import function or using an excel upload?

-How do I populate the accounts with the correct dollar amounts and detail? Is there a Journal entry function that I can use or modify?

-Plan is to update PC+ month by month and reconcile to existing Simply Accounting statements.

Has anyone ever done this before???

Unfortunately, there is no user way to migrate. You may have to manually enter all the data.

There is an option where the Powerchurch team may be able to do the migration for a fee. You should contact them directly.

When doing the Accounting Setup Assistant I would recommend that you input year to date balances as of July month end for your Income and Expense accounts, using the numbers on the July month end Income and Expense Statement from your SA system. Doing so will eliminate the need to reinput the detail transactions from January through July for Fund Accounting. If Fund Accounting has already been set up I would recommend doing a restart (Be sure to do a backup first) so you can use the Assistant to load the year to date balances through July.
