Windows 8 compatibility
Is PowerChurch 11.5 compatible with Windows 8 and Windows 8.1? Any issues with powerchurch when using Windows 8 or 8.1 or is all working very well together?

Sweet. Thank you.

Re: Windows 8 compatibility
I have been experiencing a less than enjoyable experience with version 11.5 run on the Windows 8 platform. I fought all matter of popup distractions but was finally able to download the real Adobe Reader but the Payroll module cannot find it even after having designated the program as the default for all .pdf files.
Does anyone have a solution? I get a report that tells me the numbers to put on the lines of the document, but I much prefer having the software enter the numbers.
Thanks so much,

My advice ... use the Programs and Features applet from the Control Panel and uninstall Adobe Reader. Reboot, open a browser, then go to adobe.com to make sure you have the latest version which should be (Version XI (11.0.06)) for Win 8 and install.AKJuanita wrote:I have been experiencing a less than enjoyable experience with version 11.5 run on the Windows 8 platform. Then see what happens. I'm running Win8.1 and am not seeing an issue with PCPlus finding Adobe. FWIW I believe that PCPlus only uses the operating system default to open the file, so that's why I'm suggesting a complete uninstall and reinstall of Adobe Reader. This will (usually) fix the linkage.

Re: Windows 8 compatibility
When you mentioned that you are getting the numbers to enter, are you referring to the 941? The 941 changed for 2014.
If you aren't on the latest maintenace release for your version, you may not have the pdf for 2014. In this situation, PR will print out a report so that you can manually fill in the correct form instead of trying to fill in a 2013 941 with 2014 figures.

In PowerChurch, go to Help > Download Maintenance Release, or visit http://www.powerchurch.com/mr to download and install it manually.
