Entering Pastor's First Paycheck: How?

Post by k9vet »

Our new pastor began his employment mid-way between our biweekly paydays, so his first paycheck was for one week, not two.
I, the treasurer, wrote this check by hand. But how do I enter it properly into the Payroll module so that it shows up in the pastor's YTD earnings on his future pay stubs?? NOTE: I am using PowerChurch Plus 9, not 10 or 11!

Thanks, Scott

Go into Payroll, then Manual Check. Leave the Paycheck Group field blank and click ok to view all employees. On the next screen click locate to locate the pastor's pay record. Click on the first line item that needs to be changed, then click the Change button. Edit the amounts as needed. Once complete click the Post button. Remove the check mark from the Print Check field. This will allow you to enter the check number. Input the date of the check and the month and year you want it to post to. Then click ok. The system will post it immediately in the Payroll Module and send it to the Unposted Transactions file in Fund Accounting.
