I have imported Member photos into Integrated Data Entry, but when I am in Maintain Profiles, the photo does not show up under the Picture tab. I see the icon to "Change the Photo," but not one that says "View the Photo." Do I have to import Member Photos in both modules, or am I doing something wrong?

Re: Pictures
There's only one area where you can import photos, and that's under Personal Profiles -> Setup -> Import Photos from Pictorial Directory Company. Only Olan Mills and Lifetouch provided photos can be imported using this feature. You must have used the Pictorial Directory Company Export feature to provide the directory data to the company, as they then tag the photo to the family and/or personal photo using the codes generated by that export.dcc wrote:I have imported Member photos into Integrated Data Entry, but when I am in Maintain Profiles, the photo does not show up under the Picture tab. Re: Pictures
You can also Import pictures in Integrated Data Entry/Pictures/Import/Change Photo. We have digital photos taken of our new members when they join, and I enter them in the database by saving the photos on my hard drive. If you open up the Pictures tab in Integrated Data Entry, you click on Change Picture (even though there isn't a picture there at this time), then Click on Import and you can browse your hard drive to find the picture you want to import. The picture appears under the Pictures tab for the individual However, even though the photo appears in the Integrated Data Module, it doesn't carry over to Manage Personal Profiles. If you click on the Picture tab there, it is empty. My question is, why.

Re: Pictures
I was not sure how you were 'importing' the pictures. When you're accessing the Picture Tab under the Integrated Data Entry, you're actually importing the picture into the Mailing LIst Profile. The only way you could attach a photo to the Personal Profile is by opening up each individual Personal Profile from the Family Members tab and attaching the picture there.dcc wrote:You can also Import pictures in Integrated Data Entry/Pictures/Import/Change Photo. If you go to the Mailing List Profile for the family, you will find the picture attached there.

Re: Pictures
Thank you for the explanation. I'll enter them in both places so we can see them in each Module.

Re: Pictures
I have another question on pictures. Is there any way to print a mini pictorial directory that includes just new members? I'd like to give our Deacons a pictorial directory of members who have joined in the last two years, so they know who they are talking to by phone or visiting before they go.
Thanks,
Myra

Re: Pictures
If you use a date field to track when people join the congregation, you can use the Profile Pictorial Directory located under the Personal Profile reports. You can use the join date to select a date range where you pull members whose join date falls between the dates selected.dcc wrote:I have another question on pictures. Re: Pictures
Thank you again for your quick reply. I stayed late last night and figured out another way to print what I need. Since all my pictures are entered in the Integrated Data Entry module, I clicked on Family Mailing List (as you suggested earlier), then saw Selected Families with Pictures. I was able to put the dates in as needed because we do have Joined DCC as a Code! Worked like a charm, and I made a Recurring Report of the steps. Thank you for your help!

Re: Pictures
FWIW ... the Integrated Data Entry module is just an easy way to access/update families. You could have added the pictures through the Mailing List Profile or Personal Profiles module, and they would be accessible via the IDE. Its just an overall envelope accessing both types of records.dcc wrote:Thank you again for your quick reply. I stayed late last night and figured out another way to print what I need. Re: Pictures
I'm glad you answered with an explanation. I now notice not all my Members were included in the report. I was entering the dates that I wanted under Dates Registered. I even checked those without photos, but am missing quite a few. I'll take your advice and enter the photos in Personal Profiles. Thanks again.
