Accounting Report - Balance Sheet

Post by ngaham »

On the balance sheet, it shows $0 on the asset line for the bank account. We use one back account for all of our accounting funds. Does this seem correct?

When you run the balance sheet, are you printing the account numbers?? Does that number match the account number for the checking?

Try running the Balance Sheet by fund report .. I suspect you may find that there's a fund that may show negative numbers which could zero out the balance sheet.

Try running a Trial Balance ... the bottom line should be ZERO on all the columns, if not, there's a bigger problem.

The bottom line shows this: Fund 01 Totals (DB-CR) 22,922.34

I am using a Balance Sheet By Fund, I said the wrong report. In regards to the balance, it shows the correct balance on the bottom right. It is just at the top of the report where it shows the "Assets" and lists our church checking account, all of the funds except the General Fund have 0.00 for this.

Your Operations fund is out of balance. Based on your question in another topic, you did not transfer funds between accounts properly.

Could you reply to that with the correct way to do that?

See the other topic. As I mention in that other topic, you're going to have to REVERSE all those transactions you originally used to move funds.
