Since installing this MR we have been unable to access the Event Calendar module. When we try to do so we see a dialog box "PCPlus needs to install updated runtime files. Computer Administrator rights are required. Click OK to continue or Cancel to exit without installing".
I click OK and get the Windows 10 User Access Control dialog "Do you want to allot this app to make changes to your device" naming pc115Calendar.exe.
I click yes (I'm logged in as an admin on this workstation) there's a comment "Updating calendar components. This may take a few minutes.' that comment goes away in a couple of seconds, and nothing is changed. We still see "PCPlus needs to install updated runtime files"
How can we address this problem?
John
The installer won't show errors when running from inside PowerChurch, so if something is going wrong, running it directly from outside the program should tell you what's happening.
In PowerChurch, go to Help > About PowerChurch Plus. Right click on the System Information tab and choose "Open explorer to program directory" or if available "Open explorer to server directory".
In the window that opens, find and open the Install folder. Right click on pc115calendar.exe and choose Run as administrator.
Well I have followed yours steps several times without success.
I found pc115calendar.exe on the server directory, not on the local machine. I ran it as administrator and it appeared to run fine, coming to a standard completion with a Finish button in the dialog box. But when I restart PC and start event calendar I see the same "PCPlus needs to install updated runtime files" message.
An additional piece of info: pc115calendar.exe has a "date modified" of 9/14/2016. Is that the most recent version?
Another question: since the problem arose after installation of the 03/07/2018 MR, is it possible to go to a previous version?

There's the problem! It should be 3/7/2018 like the Maintenance Release date.
Re-run the Maintenance Release installer (probably a good idea to do that "as administrator" since it didn't work to update all the necessary files the first time.
In the program directory on the server, the downloaded Maintenance Release is called pcp115mr.exe. Right click on that and choose Run as Administrator.
Two questions, as I've read some things there that are confusing me:
1. Are you running the PCP115MR.exe program on the server machine? Are you physically at the machine when you do it?
2. If you are, did you run that program with the setting 'Run as Administrator' set ?
As far as 'reverting' to a previous MR, its not a good idea.
I just ran a test install of the Maintenance Release on an old install of Version 11.5 to make sure that that file isn't missing from the MR installer or something and my pc115calendar.exe was updated to 3/7/2018.
Verify the date of the Maintenance Release installer in that directory. It should be 3/7/2018 as well. Then go back into the Install folder and rename the pc115calendar.exe file to something else, for example pc115calendarOLD.exe. Then run the MR again and see what version it is replaced with.
They are now. Initially they were being updated in the pcplus directory on the workstations, which didn't help much.
I pointed the MR install to the PCPLUS115 directory on the Synology, and then ran netsetup on the workstations, and the system is funcioning now.
Thanks for your help.
John
