Printing envelopes

Post by BethAn »

Is there a way to print an address from PowerChurch directly onto an envelope? I don't want to make a label for just one or two people.

Right now I have to look up the address then type it into Word to print the envelope.

Thanks for any help.

I don't believe so .. however, you can cut and paste into MS Word, or export the address to do an envelope merge in Word. BTW .. you can setup the envelope merge to always read the export file, and save that entire 'document' for use later.

We have custom reports, both in membership module and accounts payable, that print addresses directly on envelopes, and also the church's return address. For selection criteria, we use 'enter later' 'from a list', and use last name for membership selection field, and Vender's ID for accounts payable. When running reports, a selection screen comes up that allows from 1 to 15 last names or venders id's to be entered. Output fields are mailing name, address1, address2, city, state, zip. You edit the layout to be correct height for an envelope, type the return address on upper left, drag the name and address fields to where you want to print, etc. May have to delete the automatically generated page # and date fields the first editing session gives when you first create the report. To prevent printing all of the same last names, print to screen first, see which page number the one you want is, then switch to print to printer, and just print the desired page.
