Deceased Donor Records

Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove deceased donors from a combined husband and wife donor record? In other words, if a husband died in 2019 but he and his spouse donated funds during 2019, we normally include both names on the annual donor report for that year. Even though he would be shown as "deceased" in the family or personal profile for 2019, the donor report is issued in both names for 2019.

Then... in 2020, would you then remove the envelope number against his name to avoid having him listed on donor reports for future years, or are there other ways to handle that?

Remove the envelope number from the deceased person and they won't be included in statements.
