I have filed our church's 1099's electronically for a number of years. This year there is a message below the File Electronically button (which is grayed out and not active) that "E-Filing is only supported for tax year 2018."
There must be something that I don't understand. What am I missing?

What version of PCPlus do you have, and if its v11.55 or 12 have you installed the latest update??
If you have a version earlier than 11.55, its no longer supported, and will not be receiving updates.
That was the problem.
I'm using version 12.2. I am usually reminded of downloads, however, my system won't let me download from within PCP. I get a message that the internet cannot be accessed (or something like that). So, I logged onto PCP website and downloaded the updates and then installed them manually.
