VPN and Access to Different databases

Got a question or comment about PowerChurch that doesn't belong anywhere else? Why not post it here!?

VPN and Access to Different databases

Post by VICRAMZ »

Here's my situation. Both our church and our association use PowerChurch Plus, v.9, and I need to access both databases. The church network is P2P, and the program files are on the secretary's computer, which I access via the LAN.
The Association is located an hour away, so I'm trying to use a VPN connection to their network. (I'e got a VPN connection to our church computer from my home, and it works pretty well.)
Here's my question: how do I create a scenario where I can access the association's database from my computer, without screwing up my existing connection to the church database via the church network?

Thanks.

P.S. I've read the posts regarding installing the complete program on the client side of the VPN and pointing it to the data files on the server side. Any definitive word on how much that improves performance.
