Closing out the months and year

I am currently using PCP V9. I understanding that this version allows you to keep 12 months open. I began using PCP V9 at the beginning of 2006. Before I realize that 12 months could be kept open I had already close a few months. That was a mistake because I had to continue closeing months after leaving so many open to get to another working month. I have forgotten how many months it allowed me to keep open three maybe four. But I remember for example after I completed entering data in June in order to go to July I had to at lease close one month and so forth. My question is does that process roll over in to the next year? Or will I be able to keep January - December 2007 open? If it does roll over how can I fix it where I can keep January 2007 - December 2007 open? Rather than December 2006 - March 2007?

To change the setting to 12 months go to - File>Preferences>Accounting setup - and select the Fund Accounting tab. Then change the Number of Months that can be Open to 12
