How can I change the defaults so I can back up to a network drive?

There isn't a way to set the default drive in PC+, but if you are on version 9 or 10, the network drive letter should be showing in the list automatically.

If it's version 9, this feature was added in an early Maintenance Release, so if the mapped network drives aren't showing up in the list, make sure you have updated to the latest MR for version 9.

thank you for your reply. It is PC+ 9. I thought I had the latest maintenace release.... I downloaded it earlier in the week. Are the MRs cumulative, or do I need to download all of them and install each?

They are cumulative.
