Lost Accounting Data When Upgrading to V.10

Post by Matt »

I went to upgrade to v.10 from v.9. After the upgrade was finished I opened v. 10 and found that only part of my accounting data had transferred over. Based on reviewing the accounting and utilities audit logs all data posted on August 21, 2006 and prior transferred and the transactions posted from August 22, 2006 and forward did not. I uninstalled the program, restarted my computer, reinstalled the upgrade and got the same results. Help!

I noticed that I had Fund Accounting in v.9 set for 6 months to be open and that August 21, 2006 was 6 months ago. Could this have had something to do with the conversion problem I had?

After doing some more experimentation I was able to get the upgrade to transfer my files correctly. However, in order to get it to work I had to reinstall PC+ 10 to a directory named something other than c:\PowerChurch. Once installed I was prompted through the initial setup screens as if I was a new user and clicked Yes when asked if I had a previous version of PC+. After going through the prompts the system then correctly transferred my files.
