Alt-tabs don't always work for me.

Post by John Dykema »

I have a bunch of work to do in Mailing Contacts, Other-information, and pictures. It seems like when I try to switch using the alt- tabs it either does nothing, gives me a drop down menu, but intermittently it goes where I want it to go.
Is this a bug, is there a fix?
I'm running version 10, dated 01/31/2007, on XP Home.
We are using PC+ v.11 with the latest upgrades, Win XP Pro, and 5 networked pc's.

Hitting Alt&Tab together will switch from one Windows program to the next. Try hitting Ctrl&Tab together to switch between open dialogs within the same program.

Good, Cntrl+Tab works.
What I meant to say in my post was that when I hit the keyboard shortcut Alt+C it does not go to the Contacts screen from where I am at that time, nor when I click alt+O it won't go to Other Information screen. Now that I've said that, it does do it intermittently.

To use shortcut keys to switch pages in a pageframe, one of the controls in the pageframe must have focus. For example, if input focus is on the navigation buttons at the top of the integrated data entry form, you will not be able to use a hotkey to switch the current page in the pageframe. Now, hit tab until one of the fields inside the pageframe has focus and try the hotkey, the pageframe should now change the active tab.
