Copying and Pasting data entry
I would like to copy and paste email addresses from Outlook to PowerChurch. However, Powerchurch will not allow me to paste any data into a field. Is this a feature I can enable?
Re: Copying and Pasting data entry
Pocket Powerchurch is a 'read only' program for a Palm handheld, it does not allow updating of the main Powerchurch database. You should be able to cut and past from a PC based copy of Outlook to the standard PC edition of Powerchurch.Johntpc wrote:I would like to copy and paste email addresses from Outlook to PowerChurch. I am not able to cut and paste from PC based Outlook
The second post to this question indicated that you should be able to copy and paste from PC based MS Outlook but in my experience you cannot. I have tried several times, just did it again now.

copy and paste
NeilZ misunderstood the context of my question. I am not using Pocket PowerChurch, but rather the full program. I have many email addresses I would like to cut and paste from Outlook into my Powerchurch personal profiles, but this does not seem to be a feature of Powerchurch. Is there a reason for this or is this a safeguard that I need to somehow turn off. I share the frustration of Jhothem on this issue.
Having used the keyboard shortcut keys for years (since first using Wordstar back in the late 80's - early 90's, I've always used the CTRL-C and CTRL-V method of cut and paste, so forgive me for such a brief answer.
I can understand some frustration, but on the main menu bar of the program, there is an Edit drop-down menu which gives you access to the cut/copy/paste functions whenever you highlight something you want to edit. It also shows the keyboard shortcuts that can be used.
FWIW ... the bold red text used was not necessary, it looks like the equivalent of SHOUTING. Meanings and shades of meanings can be lost through the screen, so if there is a misunderstanding, usually a request for clarification will straighten that out.
Also, since this was posted in the Pocket Powerchurch forum, I had thought that the question was originally for Pocket Powerchurch.
