Bulk loading of Skills and activities codes

Post by gspc »

Hi -

We currently have a "Time and Talents" database in MS Access that is maintained by one of our members. We would like to get that info into PowerChurch as Skills and Activities. We have worked out a coding scheme that will work with the Activities and Skills and have updated our Access database to use those new codes.

Is it possible to 'import' the codes into PowerChurch or do they have to be loaded manually? If so, what would the procedure be for doing it? - Would it also be possible to import the member-activity/skill relationships?

Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, there is no way to IMPORT such information. You would have to first create the list of skills in Powerchurch, then use the Maintain List of Attenders function under Activities & Skills to add members to the group. If there were any 'years served' or other skill levels that would need to be added, that would have to be added individually to each member.

Hope this helps.
