Income/Expense Statements

Post by courtumc »

Is it possible to have two date oriented columns in the income/expense statement? Our finance committee meets half way through the month, so we only deal up to the end of the previous month. I would like to create an income/expense report with the first column being the previous month, the second column being Jan. through the previous month, the third column being the annual budget, and the fourth the percent of the annual budget. I know how to do columns 3 & 4, and I can get either column 1 or 2 on a separate report. Is there any way to get all this information on one report?

Assuming that your fiscal year starts in January you can accomplish this by inputting the previous month in both the From and To months when running the Income and Expense report. Then, columm 2 should be Year to Date Actual, Column 3 should be the Annual Budget, and Column 4 the % of the annual Budget.

Running date

If I set up the report that way, would I have to run the report on the last day of the month? It is not always convenient or possible to run the reports on the last day of the month.

Thanks

You wouldn't have to run it on the last day of the month. Run the report after the last transaction has been posted to that month.
