Double check the contributors to see if they have a reversal posted to them. They might show if they had a conttribution entered and then a reversal. Look at the view posted contribution screen for the envelope number to see what is there. Also do these contributor's have pledges? If you are printing pledge information and they have a pledge they could also appear if they have not given anything.

I honestly can not remember if I re-indexed before the upgrade, but knowing the problems that occurred during BETA testing I would have to think I did. I did just re-index V9 and ran the report again with the same result. It is pretty strange because when I run the list of Contributors Who Have Not Given they show up on that list. Also if I run a Condensed Statement for Office report they show zero for amount given. This may be one of those unanswerable ones.

Thanks Jeff,

There was a reversal in both of the contributors in question. The reason why only one shows in V9 is because the reversal for the second one did not happen until after the upgrade. I thought I had queried this every way that was possible. Never looked at posted contributions. So many ways and so little knowledge. Lets see how long I retain this.

Just did a little more fiddling to find a way to get around this issue with the reversals and found that if I do the opposite of my 1/4 post in this same thread they get left off the list. Put a large number in the "One Time Over" field and the reversals get ignored. Something else to remember.

I had great difficulty after year end getting a custom or canned report to generate all givers who gave $250 at any one time, but who gave that $250 in more than one fund (e.g. 200 to missions and 50 to general giving). That example doesn't print out in my custom report of $250 or more (since the available fields are only amounts given to specific funds) and I get many more people than what the IRS requires to provide if I use the less than $100,000 and more than $250. That canned report gives us people that give $10 per week for 25 or more weeks. I have been forced to print all given over $250 and check their actual giving to see if they qualify. That is over 300 people, which is rather time consuming, and that is just to get the target list. We are still on v9. Any suggestions?

I am not completly clear what your problem is. With the built in contribution statements, if you only want to print statements for those who have given more than 250 on one day, use the "Select people by amount given" option. For the dollar amounts enter "100000" in the "given more than" option and "250" in the "one time over" option.

One way people may still be printed on the statements if they don't meet the dollar amounts is if you are printing pledges. The logic is if you are printing pledges and the person has a pledge you would want them to see how they are doing with their pledge regardless if they meet the dollar amounts.

Also make sure you are on the latest MR for version 9. It can be found by going to http://www.powerchurch.com/mr

I have some people (in the past several years) who have given over $250 in one check on the same day to more than one fund (e.g. $300 to 3 funds at $100 to each fund). I am required to provide a statement to them by IRS rules, but they do not appear when I run the "All COntribution Statements" report with parameters that you suggested in your post. Instead, I have run a list with all of those who gave more than $250 for the year, mark off those that did print, and then manually view the others to search for those that didn't print that I would have expected to appear. If the fund amount on any one day is under $250, they don't seem to get selected, even though the total amount given is over $250. I'll have to check the MR for version 9, but not until VBS is over for the week, a little too hectic!

Try the MR I have found a reference to a problem with the amount over that was addressed in a MR for verison 9.

We had recently loaded an MR, and when I did a quick check tonight, it seems to have made a difference. Thanks!
