Report of those who don't attend?

Post by megs »

I have just begun to use the attendance module (PowerChurch v9, Vista system) to track those who have served communion in our church. I have added communion as a activity # but have not entered anyone as an attender - in our church everyone is eligible to serve and I do not want to have to add each new member to the module. My question is, is there a way to retrieve a list of people who have not served communion without adding every person in my database to the activity. There is an absentee report in the activity module, but it requires that each person be registered as an attender. The attendance module seems to only output names of attenders, not of absentees. Thanks for the help.

FWIW ... in order to be able to track people for an activity, they must be members of that activity. Which means that everyone must be a member in order to track attendence, or in this case, whether they have served communion.

Its the same for tracking attendence at worship or at any function, the person must be setup as a member able to attend, then you can track who has not attended.

There is a mass add funciton under Activities and Skills where you can add the entire current membership to an activity. This can be done to the entire database or those who qualify under a particular personal status code, etc.

However, you would have to add new members to this activity along with any other activity, such as worship, to any new member.

Mass Add

Thanks, the mass add feature works great for this. I'll just have to remember to do a mass add each time I want to run a report (to catch all the new people). Thanks again.
