powerchurch keeps shutting down

Post by WHUTCHISON »

My powerchurch online program shuts down while I'm in the middle of a task. It does not happen when I'm at church on the wifi there, but it does when I'm working at home with our at home wifi. Troubleshooting with xfinity tells me that is something with the program, but of course, I didn't speak with a real person. I searched the forum and did not find what I was looking for. I found one suggestion to go to the device manager and network adapters and then to the wifi one, but once I do that, I do not know what to click to turn off a "sleep mode". Thanks for any help you can give me.

Here's one topic that should help:

NOTE this part:
On a Windows computer, you can disable this by doing the following:

Open the Device Manager (right click the Start button at the bottom left of the screen and choose Device Manager)
Find the network adapter, right click on it and choose Properties.
On the Power Management tab, uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

That is the post I had referred to as a solution, but I do not see a solution because the original poster left off with a list of network adapters and then nothing follows except someone else commending the solution. Once I click on the wireless adapter it opens a box with tabs: General, Advanced, Driver, Details, Events, Resources. What do I click next? I do not see anything with regard to power management.

If you don't see a Power Management tab, what is the name of the wireless adapter?

Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz

There is a list of properties under the advanced and one is MIMO Power Save Mode. It is set to auto SMPS. There are no boxes to check and uncheck here.

There should be a DROP DOWN list for that VALUE setting .. one of which is NO SMPS ... select that.

Then do a search under the SETTINGS ... search for POWER , then select the POWER & SLEEP settings, look for the Additional Power Settings, then select the HIGH PERFORMANCE setting. This should prevent power downs.
