Attaching PDF's to transactions...

Post by bbc4me »

Has any functionality been added to allow users to attach PDF files to a transaction? For example, you input a check to pay power bill, you are also able to attach a PDF of the power bill to the transaction for quick future reference.

Not to my knowledge, this is something you can request via an email to wishlist@powerchurch.com. Include as much detail as possible, along with how this will improve your workflow and benefit thousands of users.

I agree that it would be nice to be able to have a PDF attachment added. Power Church has become the "go to" for much that goes on at our church. An attachment would eliminate the need for much typing in the note section. Our church has a policy that states that files be shredded after a certain length of time so a few years from now there is no paper trail, only records in PC.

FWIW ...when I worked as a church bookkeeper, I used to scan and create PDFs of all bills, using the Vendor Name in Powerchurch, and their Invoice number as the filename. Kept them in a folder on our network drive, this gave me a ready reference as the Invoice number was used as the reference when I created the invoice in Powerchurch.
