I recently read the article in Christianity Today titled Church Mgmt Software. The author gives several useful procedures and then goes on to suggest using the site www.capterra.com to compare and help select a church mgmt software program. When I tried to get a comparison listing, the site only listed Powerchurch version 8. I was wondering why, since version 9 and 10 have been available for some time now.
My question is how does the Powerchurch program versions 9 and 10 stack up against other programs available? I have been using Powerchurch since the early 1990's and I really like it. So I am not looking to change. Is there any comparison data that an interested analyst or shopper can or should use to help him/her compare church management programs in an objective and unbiased manner. I guess I am challenging the Powerchurch staff to come up with something along these lines. It may help them get more customers.
