When updating our 2025 federal withholding tax tables, I noticed an anomaly affecting only Single or Married Filing Separately (W-4 2020+, step 2 box checked). Powerchurch reports a different tentative withholding amount from amount in IRS 15-T. I tried to add a new tax table to see if the original table might be corrupted but the same numbers appear. We do not round to whole numbers for withholding amount, and I realize this discrepancy may only affect a small class of employees. Please advise corrective action.

The differing cent amounts are minor as these are annual figures, but the whole numbers are the same as the IRS.

Re: 2025 Percentage Method Tables for automated Payroll discrepancy
I'm pretty sure it is a typo in the official documentation. We have seen that before in prior years.
The numbers in PowerChurch are actually generated by doing the math in the table.

Re: 2025 Percentage Method Tables for automated Payroll discrepancy
I looked at my tax table calculations in PC+, and my values of tentative amount to withholding match amounts to what NeilZ posted, and I am also using v14.4 latest MR.
