Tracking Volunteer Hours

Post by Crystal »

Hello,

I am investigating what would be required in order to track volunteer hours.

We track who volunteers for what in PC9 and we'd like to keep a running total (for job reference and recognition purposes) of the number of hours each volunteer works without having to pull up each name individually and manually add their hours to a previous total every time a volunteer comes in.

Has anyone else ever tackled this issue and if do you have any suggestions?

Thanks so much for any thoughts offered,
Crystal

I would ask that such a function be added to the wish list ... right now PC+ has no such capability.

While there is nothing to specifically track volunteer hours, I was thinking you could set up your volunteers up in payroll as a special paygroup with no dollars. Entering these hours like this should not impact your general ledger but it could give you totals for the volunteers that you desire.

Thanks Randy and Neil!

I'm going to have a look at this idea. I might be back to ask more questions after I've thought this over.

Greatly appreciate your kindness,
Crystal :)
