You've touched on this in the forum before - but I need a little more direction. If I want to change my Facilities account from a detail to a group and it is already established...I will need to move the account to a new number, delete the original account number, then add it back in so I can pick "group" then move the data back to it? I want to be sure not to lose my data, but I want to fix my charts of accounts.
I assume it is a detail account because there have been transactions posted to this account. Group accounts are for headings only and can not have transactions posted to them. You can add a new group account above this existing detail account, and then list the detail account below it.
