Uploaded Pics Not Available - v10.4

I am having a problem with the pictures not being available when I go to print the directory. I have added the pics in "maintaining family mailing" and they show up as saved, but when I run the family mailing pictorial directory it does not show the pictures and says, "pictures not available." I am new at using the software, but it seems pretty straight forward. I added 10 pics to 10 different families and all say the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. PC 10.4

OK ... let me verify the steps you took.

1. You went to the Membership -> Family Mailing List -> Maintain Family Mailing List
2. You selected the family you wanted to add a picture to, then selected the Picture tab, clicked on 'Change Picture' icon, then selected 'import' (the last may be different in v10.4, I don't have a copy available). You then browsed your computer to find the correct picture, and uploaded it. This got no error on any of the families, right?
3. When finished, you went to Family Mailing List Reports, selected the Pictorial Directory, entered the selection criteria, then ran it. And you got some errors.

OK. First thing I want you to do is run a REINDEX from the Utilities menu. This often rebuilds the indexes, and fixes some issues like these. Check to see if that takes care of the issue.

If not, what were the sizes of the picture files, this may be part of the issue. I'm not sure if v10.4 resized the picture files as v11.5 does, so the pics may be too large.

Get back to us with this information and we may then be able to help further.

Most likely, the pictures were imported into Personal Profiles and the directory is being printed from Family Mailing List or vice versa.

Version 10 resizes the images to 800x600 just like the current versions do and should not be an issue.

So the pictures were a 2x3 that I uploaded. I ran REINDEX and this did not change anything.

So the pictures were a 2x3 that I uploaded. I ran REINDEX and this did not change anything.

OK .. did you check to see if you did what Zorak said above? Added the picture to the PERSONAL profiles, not the MAILING LIST profile?

I don't have a 10.4 installation any longer, so I'm not sure where exactly the pics are stored, but head to te c:\Powerchurch\PCPLUS10 directory. Look under the data directory (I believe), for a pictures directory and see if the pics are indeed there.

Yeah, I did another import, the pic is on the screen when I import and when I go back to the profile. However, when I run the report it still shows that the picture is not available.

Yeah, I did another import, the pic is on the screen when I import and when I go back to the profile. However, when I run the report it still shows that the picture is not available.

If its not available in any of the picture directory reports, there's not much else we can do on the forum, as someone would need to see what's the matter with your setup on the machine.

Unfortunately, v10.4 is no longer actively being supported. However, I believe that if you've never used phone support at any time, you may still be able to use that 90 days of support. Don't quote me on that however, as I'm not sure about that.

FWIW ... you really need to consider to upgrade to v11.55 as it has a bunch of improvements, one of which is in the area of photos.
