Exporting All Contact Data

Post by mpritchard »

What is the most efficient way to export all my contact data from PowerChurch into an excel or CSV file?

I've been trying to figure it out, but have had no luck getting all my data in one file.

Exactly what are you trying to export ??? Mailing LIst or Personal Profiles ??

Have you looked at the 'Export Data' feature located under each area ??

I am also trying to export both personal profile and family profile into excel format. But am having no luck.
I want it in column format, so I am doing it under Custom reports, and choosing my output fields, I run query and get results, but when I go to export it from the Utilities menu, it emerges as a zip file. when I open that it is a DBF or frt file that I cannot open.

The import/export function you are using is to move your custom reports to another installation of PowerChurch Plus.

To create an excel file from a custom report, select the report, then click the Pick Output Type button. You can then tell it that you want the report to be generated as an excel file. This will be saved in the PowerChurch Plus program directory.

For what it's worth, the Export Data option under the Personal Profiles menu will do exactly what you need. It gives you the same list of fields from Family Mailing List and Personal Profiles that the custom reports in Personal Profiles do. And, you have the benefit of getting to name the export file and choosing where to save it.
