Recurring Entries

Post by JHosmar »

I am the bookkeeper of a small church in Canada (150 members, give or take). I am just starting to use PC+ as a way to keep track of the contributions. (I still use a different program for the accounting). The church has been using PC+ for a while to track the memberships. We still have version 8.
I am wondering if there is a way to "copy & Paste" the same "deposit" each month in the unposted contributions. We have given our members the option to donate monthly through automatic withdrawal. This, for the most part, remains the same each month. I would to copy the previous month's posted deposit into the unposted contributions and modify it if necessary and then post it. I would think this would save me a few steps each month.
I also noticed that in order to import or export in PC+ you would need to use the "a" or "b" drive, isn't that a little old? Couldn't you give the option to save the file into another drive?
Thanks
Joanne

Your assessment about saving to only drives "a" and "b" as being a little old is correct. That is because the version you are using is a little old. The software is now at Version 10.4. If you upgrade to the newest version you will get both of your requests fulfilled. You will be able to save to all your drives as well as folders and you will have the option to set up recurring contributions.

Not to mention you'd be able to move your accounting into Powerchurch, and then process contributions and post them directly to Funds Accounting.

Only one database to backup, and there wouldn't be a problem with errors in data entry to your accounting.

Using PC+ since 1999.
