six month time rule

Post by ardisann »

we started setting up the accounting part of Powerchurch plus 10 in Nov. 07
we had been using the contributions for a couple of years..
We had Powerchurch help with this, and things got sidelined and although we kept up the contributions and posted some of them, we are now going back to do 9 months work and going back to Nov 07. we only have a couple of check written in 2 different accounts.. our problem is the written check shows up nowhere, we have posted those check both in AP and Fund Accounting, but when we reconcile each account, the checks aren't there and it says our account is out of balance.. We were told there is a 6 month window and that there might be a way to go back further... I believe that is our problem, but not sure.,,
can anyone help guide us in the right direction thanks

In version 10, you can have up to 18 months open at a time. The default is 6 months.

To change this:

Go to File > Preferences > Accounting Setup > Fund Accounting tab.
Change the "Number of months" setting to 12 or 18.
Click OK.
