Integrated Data Entry less than integrated
I just restored the data for PC from an old machine and now the personal profiles and integrated data entry don't seem to be bleeding over to one another. Usually I can see every personal profile in integrated data entry and simply doubleclick to pull them up. Anyone know how I can restore that?

This is not a normal problem with a restore, more data is needed.CoreOmaha wrote:I just restored the data for PC from an old machine and now the personal profiles and integrated data entry don't seem to be bleeding over to one another. How did you do the restore ?? If you used the built in restore, all the links from the personal profiles to the family mailing list would be restored.
If you did a restore just copying files from one machine to the other, you may have missed some files needed, or all you may need is to do a reindex of the database.

Not a good idea unless you copied the entire Powerchurch directory.CoreOmaha wrote:I copied one file to another. How do I do a reindex?
You can reindex using the selection under the Utilities menu.
As I mentioned in another topic, its best to restore using a full Powerchurch backup.

Which is why you need to restore from a good backup, the problem you have now is that you do not have a good database to work from.CoreOmaha wrote:Full PowerChurch backup is impossible at this point.
If you don't have a backup to restore from, then you have to copy the entire powerchurch directory, and all subdirectories over to the new machine.

Right. Full PowerChurch backup is impossible at this point. So... I can't backup from a good backup because it's impossible at this point. Also, I ALREADY copied the directories, I'm just wondering why the integrated data box no longer displays the personal profiles like it did before. And if there's some way to fix it.
OK ... I do understand that. I was asking if you had a Powerchurch backup file from the old machine.CoreOmaha wrote:Right. Full PowerChurch backup is impossible at this point. So... Let me step back and make some assumptions:
You didn't say, but I'm assuming through all this that the version of Powerchurch on the old machine, is the same version you installed on the new machine.
I'm going to also assume that for some reason, you cannot create a Powerchurch backup file from the old machine, but you were able to copy the powerchurch directory and all sub-directories to the new machine.
I'm then going to assume that you then installed Powerchurch (after the copy) on the new machine so that Windows has all the proper registry settings.
If any of these assumptions are incorrect, then the next question is moot:
Did you reindex (located under UTILITES) ??
