Would like to see additional reports available.

I've previously sent in an email to add this request to the wishlist:

Currently, we have groups of counters who do contribution entry each week. The contributions only permissions allows them access to a small subset of reports. We'd like to be able to give them access to the unposted funds report so they can then print it out for the church office.

I tried to create a custom report to do this, and it works fine for me, but the contributions permissions does not allow the counters access to the custom reports either.

So .. here's my request ... perhaps an additional permission notebook page could be added to grant or deny access to the 'canned' reports, or allow access to the custom reports.

Unfortunatly what you say is right. The only thing I can do at this point is to submit this as a suggestion to program development.

The problem I see with this though is that if you have access to custom reports you would have access to all of the data, and Contribution entry only is a very limited user, so that would defeat that security.

When I first read this reply back in October, I must have been half asleep as I now see that I was misunderrstood. We don't want to give access to custom reports, we would like to be able to grant access to some of the 'canned' reports already in the system. Specifically, we'd like to be able to grant access to the 'Funds Report" so the counters can then print out the total by fund received that Sunday. This data is reprinted in our Sunday bulletin as part of our Stewardship section.

In reality, I don't see an issue with allowing normal access to this one report under the current Contribution Entry Only permissions. The people entering the data already know into which fund the contribution is going, and if they wished, they could keep a separate total outside the system. I'd rather they be able to pull the report directly.

That is something that will have to be a suggestion. You can also make the suggestion, because if an option is suggested and wanted then it will make the decision easier to include it. So although I am going to make the suggestion, if you want to drop an email to wishlist@powerchurch.com and voice your suggestions that would also be good.
