Check reader ps2 to usb

Just curious to know if anyone has successfully converted a ps2 check reader to usb by using a ps2 to usb adapter? We recently purchased a new ps2 check reader, but would like to switch to a new computer that only has usb ports and no ps2 ports. I am not having any luck, thought maybe there was some type of driver I was not aware of that could be used.

Unfortunately, an adapter won't work for this. There is a whole different system involved in making the check reader communicate via usb.
