2025 W-2s

Post by beas »

I'm working on W-2s and told PC+ to truncate the SSN. However, it is still putting complete numbers on them (tried it with both truncating options). I went back and checked earlier years and it did it correctly. Maybe a bug in the newest MR?

I just tested this, and I notice that Copy 1, used for the State/City/Local taxes for the employer reporting, Copy A, that is sent with the W3 to the SSA, and Copy D, for the employer records, all have the full SSN.

Copy B, which is filed with the Federal Return, Copy C for the Employee's Records, and Copy 2 which is filed with the Employee's state/local/city returns, only show the last 4 of the SSN.

I believe that is the way its supposed to be setup.

Yeah. I got in a hurry and didn't look far enough. Thanks for the heads up.
