Aligning 1099 Text

Post by F12Mahon »

When you align the text of a 1099 and print a test form, does the program save the alignment for the year? Does it lose it when you close PC+?

Every year I have to lower the payer box about an eighth of an inch and the whole form down a thirty second of an inch.

I don't believe it saves it ... and I'm guessing the reason for that is that the form may change year to year.

Individual field and form adjustments made on that alignment form are saved. However, most likely, you are having to adjust everything because your printer is shrinking the page to fit, which then makes that a moving target, so to speak. There is a table in the database that stores all the align-able forms and fields (1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, 1096, W2, and W3).

Clicking the Reset Form button on that screen does reset all of those saved alignments.
