Has this every happened to anyone? When deleting a profile, I get this:

ERROR 13
Message: Alias "MECONTLOG' is not found.
Then Powerchurch shuts down.

This message typically means version 11.5 was installed directly into the version 11 folder. What version are you using and is this installation issue a possibility? If so, doing a backup and reinstalling 11.5 into its own folder (usually it defaults to C:\Powerchurch\pcplus115) then restoring the backup will usually work. If not, you may need to contact Tech Support.

I'm using 11.5. I checked and didn't even see version 11 folder on my computer.

OK .. where did you install PCPlus?? The standard location is C:\Powerchurch\PCPLUS115 or on Win7 it installed to C:\Program FIles(x86)\Powerchurch\PCPLUS115karlaj wrote:I'm using 11.5. I checked and didn't even see version 11 folder on my computer.

If you had version 11, it is possible that it wasn't installed in the default location, C:\Powerchurch\pcplus 11. And then when 11.5 was installed, it was told to install in the same folder. These are separate versions and should have their own sub-folder. Version 11 didn't have the database mecontlog.dbf. So when 11.5 is allowed to install in that folder it will not create it, thus the reason for the message.
Again, do a backup of the data, reinstall 11.5 into its own sub-folder and not in this same location and restore that backup. If this doesn't fix it, give us a call at 1-800-486-1800 and speak with a technician.
If you didn't have version 11, then do a backup and reindex. See if that resolves the issue. You may still need to do a clean install of 11.5 and restore that backup.

Just to clarify, you shouldn't allow any version of the program to install into the Program Files, ESPECIALLY in the newer versions of Windows. Installing there will likely cause you to have permissions issues.

Yes it is an issue on the networking side. I have seen a few installations where the system admin installed it in Program Files and the user has permissions issues because they can't change Program Files much like you wouldn't necessarily want a network user to change your Program Files.

Not sure I did this right, but I uninstalled Powerchurch, then reinstalled it in a new folder under Powerchurch. Still having problems. I also reindexed. I may call tech support next week. Got a busy day today. Thanks for trying to help!
