12/28/2023 - Version 12 Maintenance Release
A new Maintenance Release dated 12/27/2023 has been released for PowerChurch Plus Version 12.
The update will automatically download and install, but you can trigger the download by going to Help > Download Maintenance Release. You can also manually download and install the Maintenance Release by visiting https://www.powerchurch.com/mr.
This Maintenance Release includes the following:.
Accounts Payable
- Updated 1099/1096 forms and filing process for 2023 tax year
Fund Accounting
- Changes in Equity report has "separately" misspelled
Payroll
- W2/W3 forms and filing process for 2023 tax year
- Georgia tax tables now have pre and post-2024 versions
- Indiana tax tables and employee deduction items now have Adopted Child deduction
- Federal Withholding tax deduction items now have an optional Standard Deduction field
- Employee Federal Withholding items now have a Use Standard Deduction field
12/28/2023 - Version 14 Maintenance Release
A new Maintenance Release dated 12/27/2023 has been released for PowerChurch Plus Version 14.
The update will automatically download and install, but you can trigger the download by going to Help > Download Maintenance Release. You can also manually download and install the Maintenance Release by visiting https://www.powerchurch.com/mr.
PowerChurch Online servers were updated automatically overnight. For PowerChurch Online users, no further action needs to be taken.
This Maintenance Release includes the following:
Accounts Payable
- Updated 1099/1096 forms and filing process for 2023 tax year
Fund Accounting
- In certain situations, new installations can show "A problem has been detected in your data. Please reindex."
- Changes in Equity report has "separately" misspelled
Payroll
- W2/W3 forms and filing process for 2023 tax year
- W2/W3 process can now be run for a partial year date range
- Alabama overtime wages are not taxable from 1/1/2024 through 6/30/2025
- Georgia tax tables now have pre and post-2024 versions
- Indiana tax tables and employee deduction items now have Adopted Child deduction
- Tax tables can now be added for non-tax items (Tax Type: NONE)
- Other Deduction items now have Include Housing Allowance option in the % Calculation field
- Other Deduction items now have Box 14 Abbreviation field
- Employees' Other Deduction and non-tax Employer Liability items can now have tax tables assigned
- Employer Liability items now have % Calculation field, Box 12 Code, and Box 14 Abbreviation fields
- Federal Withholding tax deduction items now have an optional Standard Deduction field
- Employees' Federal Withholding items now have a Use Standard Deduction option
11/16/2023 - Check In 14 Maintenance Release
A new Maintenance Release for PowerChurch Check In Version 14 has been published, dated 11/16/2023.
The Check In Server application will update itself automatically for PowerChurch Plus users. The PowerChurch Online Check In Servers have already been updated. Check In Kiosks will pop up a notification that an update will be installed next time the kiosk application is closed.
This Maintenance Release contains the following fixes:
Barcodes
- Read only error when assigning a barcode
- Update existing barcode is assigning additional barcode, rather than replacing the old one
- Existing barcode should be selected in the field when the form loads
Labels
- Reprint labels from Class Roster doesn't print anything in certain situations
Mac kiosk
- Mac kiosk app shows a warning that it can't be checked for malicious software

- In certain scenario, an invoice can be deleted after a check has been printed

This Maintenance Release contains the following fixes:
Check Out
- In certain scenarios, it is possible to have "There are no adult family members" message at check out
- When attempting to check out hundreds of people at once, an error occurs
Printer UI
- When choosing a printer that is set as full page - laser/inkjet, the label set control should be hidden
- When choosing a print server, the printer type and label set controls should both be hidden
- When reprinting labels from the class roster, individual labels to reprint should be hidden if printing to a full page - laser/inkjet printer

- Check Reader with Format 0000 doesn't recognize all possible formats of checking accounts
- Enter Contributions - The date picker doesn't work properly when changing date of contributions
- Monthly Contribution Totals report can include $0 total donors
Fund Accounting
- Export Accounting Data limited to current year when budget for next year has been entered
- Import Accounting Transactions - Numeric overflow error when importing into data set that spans many years
- Import Accounting Transactions - Differences in upper/lower case of transaction description and reference should be ignored
- Import Accounting Transactions - An old transaction can be duplicated when importing
- Reopen a Month can error when there are transactions dated hundreds of years from now
Accounts Payable
- Next check number not updated if disconnected from PowerChurch Online before answering Reprint prompt
- In certain scenario, an invoice can be deleted after a check has been printed
Payroll
- Choosing No to reload saved Process Payroll session can result in an empty set of current Payroll data to process
General
- Custom Reports to a file should not allow filename beginning with a number
- Maintenance Release download can error or not complete (the fix will take effect at the next MR update)
09/13/2023 - Check In 14 Maintenance Release
A new Maintenance Release for the PowerChurch Check In Version 14 has been published, dated 09/13/2023.
The Check In Server application will update itself automatically for PowerChurch Plus users. The PowerChurch Online Check In Servers have already been updated. Check In Kiosks will pop up a notification that an update will be installed next time the kiosk application is closed.
This Maintenance Release contains the following fixes:
Label Printing
- Labels with rotated fields print smaller than necessary.
- Bag Tag labels don't reprint from the Class Roster
- Long notes don't properly wrap on Teacher Notes label and text is shrunken to fit
Label Editor
- Fields removed from the label are not properly saved and still show up in the editor
- When no label sets exist, don't show the "X" close icon on the Add New Label Set modal
Other
- Full page check in forms show an error
- Reports run from the Class Roster show an error

- End of File error can occur when clicking Next on View Posted Contributions, Maintain Donors, and Maintain Pledges

- Budget amounts over $9,999,999.99 cause errors in reports.
