09/28/2015 - Version 11.5 Maintenance Release

A new Maintenance Release dated 09/28/2015 has been released for PowerChurch Plus Version 11.5.

The program will automatically download and install this update by going to Help > Download Maintenance Release, or you can manually download and install the Maintenance Release installer by visiting http://www.powerchurch.com/mr in your web browser.

PowerChurch Online servers will be updated automatically overnight, so PowerChurch Online users need not take any action to receive this update.

This Maintenance Release resolves the following issues:

E-mail

Local image files do not attach properly
Error in PowerChurch Online when hotlinking an image
Better error logging
E-mail Event Task Reminders error
Ignores port number designation in server address

Family Mailing List

Family e-mail field added to Import Data utility
Import Data now displays schema on introduction screen

Education Library

Reference field is now 13 characters (ISBN)

09/21/2015 - Mac OSX 10.11/El Capitan

In preliminary testing with the next OSX update, we have found that the IDS Client (the PowerChurch Online connection software) is not compatible. We have reported the issue to the developers of the IDS Client, who are expecting a compatibility fix during the last quarter of 2015.

It is not recommended you upgrade to OSX El Capitan on computers where you will need to access PowerChurch Online during the next few months.

Error when backing up to a CD/DVD drive
Error when sending e-mail with HTML image links
Vanco Import - Credit card deposits in Fund Accounting are not splitting properly
Vanco Import - Should not allow checking account to be set as transit account

This Maintenance Release resolves the following issues:

Accounting

Fund Accounting - "All funds" option added to copy accounts from existing fund on Maintain List of Accounting Funds
Accounts Payable - Delete an open invoice is now recorded in Accounting Audit Log
Payroll - Unposted Payroll Items are now designated with an * on the Check History tab of Maintain List of Employees

Contributions

Check Reader screen can enter a contribution without applying to pledge
Vanco Payment Solutions contributions import has been completely redesigned. Press the F1 key to review Help documentation or click the ? icons on the new Import Contributions screen for more information.

Membership

Added unlisted designation to phones and e-mails on the Deacon Report
Family Members tab now available on both Integrated Data Entry and Maintain Family Mailing List
Added Unused Envelope Numbers and Envelope Number List reports to the list of Personal Profiles reports

General

Updated e-mail components for Windows 10 compatibility on some servers
E-mail sending report now includes bad/malformed e-mail addresses
Yahoo Maps is now defunct. Replaced with Google Maps as default.

07/29/2015 - Windows 10 Compatibility

PowerChurch Plus Versions 10, 11, and 11.5 are compatible with Windows 10. Other PowerChurch Software products (PowerChurch Online, Check In, Mailroom) are also compatible with Windows 10.

In the unlikely event that new compatibility issues are introduced in a Windows Update, Versions 11 and 11.5 would be updated ASAP via Maintenance Release. Version 10 is no longer under maintenance and would be removed from the compatibility list at that time.

Fund Accounting

The View Posted Transactions screen when sorted by Transaction Description uses case sensitive sorting (A-Z, a-z)
When saving Balance Sheet to an Excel file, a "Warning: Data may be lost" message is shown in Office 2010 & 2013
"Cheque" spelling is not used on the Bank Reconciliation and Account Dependencies reports.

Accounts Receivable

The Maintain Open Payments screen does not warn when the accounts used will be out of balance across funds
The Maintain Open Invoices screen does not warn when using accounts in multiple funds

Payroll

After adding new time off, the selected time off type resets to the first in the list
