12/11/2013 - Full Service Intelligent Mail Requirement Postponed
The US Postal Service has announced that the January 26, 2014 requirement for full service mailing has been remanded. A new deadline for the full service transition has not yet been announced.

12/05/2013 - 2013 W2 and 1099 Compatibility
W2 forms for the 2013 tax year are supported in PowerChurch Plus Versions 10.4 and higher.
1099-MISC forms for the 2013 tax year are supported in PowerChurch Plus Versions 11 and 11.5.
To be sure you have the most up-to-date layouts, download the latest Maintenance Release for your version at http://www.powerchurch.com/mr or from within PowerChurch Plus by going to Help > Download Maintenance Release.
Additional functionality is available in later versions of PowerChurch Plus. The ability to list multiple state wages and withholding on the W2 was added in Version 11. PowerChurch Plus Version 11.5 added e-filing of 941s, W2s, and 1099s through a third party service. A new Maintenance Release dated 12/05/2013 has been released for Version 11.
The program will automatically download and install this update by going to Help > Download Maintenance Release, or you can manually download and install the Maintenance Release installer by visiting http://www.powerchurch.com/mr in your web browser.
This Maintenance Release resolves the following issues:
Accounting
- Journal Report - Refresh report options changes sort option back to default
- 1099-MISC form alignment changed for 2013
- Reclaimable tax GST/PST/HST form should require all fields
- 941 form should exclude unposted data
- Second withholding allowance not saved when adding employees in CA, GA, IL, IN, LA, MO, or VA
- W2 alignment form should have top and bottom forms filled out
- Invoice that has payments applied should not allow you to change the customer
Membership
- Church Directory in Detail Layout ignores suffix
- Church Directory when spouse has a different last name, ignores preferred name
- Deacon Report ignores family e-mail
- Profiles Count by Status Code report is not properly aligned on the page
- Constant Contact Sync can overwrite changes
- Constant Contact Sync does not report errors in the API
- Attendance Register Form should not print unlisted e-mails
Contributions
- Should not be able to delete Designations with posted history
- Import Contributions should ignore extra fields in the file
- Automatic transfers at posting time ignores active status of fund
- Automatic transfers at posting time ignores funds with no account numbers

A new Maintenance Release dated 11/06/2013 has been released for Version 11.5.

This Maintenance Release resolves the following issues:
- Verify backup returns wrong version warning (Version 11.5 vs. 11.55)
- Summary layout of Contribution Statements show incorrect amount
- "End of file" error in Personal Profiles in a new, empty database
- Print test alignment W2 page should print both top and bottom forms
