07/25/2012 - Check In Maintenance Release

A new Maintenance Release for the PowerChurch Check In system has been published, dated 07/24/2012.

There are no longer separate installers for kiosk and server components. The kiosks will update automatically after connecting to the server the first time.

This release contains following fixes:

Built-in web cams don't consistently work
Added a message to inform user when kiosk update fails
Added a message warning that a bar code was already assigned to someone else in the family
Service failed to start for any reason is now tracked in the Application Event Log
PDF manual and CHM help files are now updated on the kiosk after Maintenance Release updates
Express Check Out expects multiple bar codes for a person in multiple activities
Filter characters are not automatically cleared on the Check Out screen
When filtering on the Check Out screen, it is possible for the wrong notes and/or picture to show for the selected person
When adding a new family, the "Mr & Mrs" and "and Family" preferences are not being followed
When adding/updating a family, there is no "Preferred Name" field
On screen keyboard does not appear in the Express Check Out / Reason for missing bar code = Other field
On screen keyboard redesigned for Add New and Update Existing Family screens
On screen keyboard TAB key now skips past buttons and dropdown lists

This Maintenance Release resolves the following issues:

Accounting

Underlines don't print on the Income & Expense By Month report, but show on the screen preview
Modify Unposted Transactions screen errors if no unposted transactions exist

Activities & Skills

In certain circumstance, a person can be added to an activity twice

Events

Google Sync does not update changes to event description

Background Checks

Protect My Ministry https link does not work in PowerChurch Online

A new Maintenance Release dated 04/04/2012 has been released for Version 11.

The following changes were made in this Maintenance Release:

Accounting

Level 3 should not be an option when adding new accounts through Maintain Donor Restrictions
Field names changed on 2012 941 form (Trade Name, Box 16, Sched B)

04/05/2012 - Version 11.5 Maintenance Release

A new Maintenance Release dated 04/03/2012 has been released for Version 11.5.

The program will automatically download and install this update by going to Help > Download Maintenance Release, or you can manually download and install the Maintenance Release installer by visiting http://powerchurch.com/mr in your web browser.

This Maintenance Release resolves the following issues:

Accounting

Modify Unposted Transactions shows blank posting year if outside the range of open months
Level 3 should not be an option when adding new accounts through Maintain Donor Restrictions
Field names changed on 2012 941 form (Trade Name, Box 16, Sched B)

Membership

Error on the Maintain Attendance Data screen (click Add, then Cancel)
