11/21/2011 - Version 11.5 Maintenance Release


A maintenance release dated 11/18/2011 has been published for Version 11.5. The program can automatically download and install this release if you go to Help > Download Maintenance Release, or you can manually download and install the file by visiting http://www.powerchurch.com/mr.

Below is a list of changes made in this maintenance release:

Attendance

  • Add Person lookup under Fast Data Entry does not have incremental search
  • No table is open error when saving changes on the Attendance tab of Maintain Personal Profiles

Visitations

  • Families Not Visited report - Default date range changed to This Year (was Today)
  • Families Not Visited report - Visit Area shows "Code XX not known"
  • Visitations custom codes (purpose, method) not converted

Contributions

  • Funds Report - Amount of designations doubled in report total
  • Import Contributions - European date format will import with the wrong year
  • Custom Reports are missing the alternate email field from Personal Profiles

Fund Accounting

  • Cash Management Report consistent reporting of zero or negative liabilities
  • Detailed Changed in Equity report - Include Unposted check box is not set in Refresh Report Options

Accounts Receivable

  • Account Statement report - Balance Forward is shown on every page
  • Account Statement report - All dates selection returns no results


11/18/2011 - New video added


A new video has been added to the Knowledge Base and the PowerChurch Software YouTube channel. Version 11.5 features a redesigned Add Family Assistant. It is now quicker than ever to add a family and individuals on the fly.

11/14/2011 - Fall 2011 Quarterly Newsletter


Issue #6 of the PowerChurch Software Quarterly Newsletter has been sent out and published on the web site today.

11/10/2011 - Increased Support and Server Traffic


Today's planned upgrade of the PowerChurch Online servers to Version 11.5 has increased the server load to a critical level. Many users are reporting very slow server performance along with error messages during the conversion process. Because of this, Technical Support representatives and our phone system is overloaded as well.

The current rush on the servers will eventually thin out and things will get back to normal. If you have not yet been through the upgrade, or are experiencing problems with the upgrade process, it is suggested that you try again at a later time, once the "traffic jam" has had a chance to thin out some.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to get through the list of calls and e-mails about these problems.

Below is a list of changes made in this maintenance release:

Personal Profiles

  • Alt e-mail address not available in custom reports

Activities & Skills

  • Offices Served should not allow overlapping dates served

Accounts Payable

  • MISC and VOID vendor names on manual checks not shown in posted transactions

Payroll

  • California State Tax - Low Income Exemption added
  • 941 - Non-tax employees included in count of employees in certain scenarios
  • 941 - Employees with $0 net income are not included in count of employees (giving 100% to contributions, for example)


11/07/2011 - New videos added


There are three new videos previewing some new features in Version 11.5. They are available on the PowerChurch Software YouTube channel and have also been added to the Knowledge Base on our site.



10/05/2011 - Check In Maintenance Release


A new Maintenance Release for the PowerChurch Check In system has been published, dated 10/05/2011. There are no longer separate installers for kiosk and server components. The kiosks will update automatically after connecting to the server the first time. www.powerchurch.com/mr This release contains following fixes and new features:

  • Bar code shows in name field after checking in
  • Problems when using short (less than four digits) Activity numbers
  • File access problems can cause 0 CheckInID in data, which can't be checked out
  • Possible to have "Checked in by: " showing on sign out sheet
  • Assign a bar code feature now properly handles assigning an existing bar code to a new person
  • Problems moving kiosks from local Check In to PowerChurch Online Check In
  • Bar code scanning does not work in self serve mode
  • Kiosk connection times out when switching from Self Serve to Manned Mode
  • You can now add allergy, medication, and medical condition information from the kiosk
  • Pager number added to the Check In Roster report
  • Kiosk installer (pc11kiosk.exe) is now included in the MR update and is copied to the server directory. If you have a kiosk that won't update, or need to install on a new kiosk, install file is available on server.


09/21/2011 - Version 11 Maintenance Release


A new Maintenance Release dated 09/21/2011 has been released for Version 11. The program will automatically download and install this update by going to Help > Download Maintenance Release, or you can manually download and install the Maintenance Release installer by visiting http://powerchurch.com/mr in your web browser. The following changes were made in this Maintenance Release:

  • Google Calendar events can be duplicated during sync
  • Google Calendar events use main description, rather than web description
  • Monthly Budget Amounts report does not show accounts with zero total annual budget (+/-)
  • 2011 W2/W3 forms have been updated
  • 2011 1099-MISC form has been updated
  • Custom Report errors when switching from Detail to Summary report
  • Constant Contact error is not reported properly if sync fails in certain circumstances
  • Maintenance Release updater can freeze at 100%
  • Error message when first character of user profile is a space
  • Recall report options confuses two date fields on the Selection Criteria screen


08/30/2011 - Version 11 Maintenance Release


A new Maintenance Release dated 08/30/2011 has been released for Version 11. The program will automatically download and install this update by going to Help > Download Maintenance Release, or you can manually download and install the Maintenance Release installer by visiting http://powerchurch.com/mr in your web browser. The following changes were made in this Maintenance Release:

Membership

  • Printing labels in the send e-mail message process can cause error message
  • Added handling for bar code already assigned to someone
  • Check In Setup screen does not save the Personal Status code selection
  • Olan Mills file export includes unlisted emails
  • Selected Profiles-Full Details report add a character to separate family and personal email
  • Constant Contact date selection doesn't work properly
  • Family Update Form prints instructions on first and second page
  • Family Update Form added Personal Status code selection

Contributions

  • Import Contributions if there is an envelope number or fund number updated in the contribution step, it updates all entries for that envelope number or fund number
  • Import Contributions error if you try to change an entry from check to cash
  • Reverse contribution ignores designations
  • Error when using the fund lookup on the Monthly Messenger file export
  • The first designation entry on a contribution statement is not shown
  • Added Delete Envelope Number to the Contributions audit log
  • Fund Type selection causes error on mail merge export

Fund Accounting

  • Import Transactions from file confused by Euro date format (DD/MM/YYYY)
  • Monthly Budget Amounts report does not show budgeted account if annual budget total is zero (+500 one month and -500 the next month)
  • Restart Accounting does not disable Quick Tasks & Menus in current sessions
  • Cash Management Report - Zero balance liabilities not showing properly

Payroll

  • 941 report shows wrong SSI precentage
  • Edit Salary History doesn't save changes
  • Strange resize behavior on the Locate list on Maintain Tax Table
  • Total amount added to Employee Pay Items report

Events

  • Task List email shows date of event, not date of the task
  • Possible to get an error message on the Event Calendar

General

  • Error on startup if the PCPLUS11.EXE file is hidden
  • PowerChurch Today window shows V10 icon
  • Added tooltip to the delete button on the Load Saved Report screen
  • Access Is Denied error message if user does not have rights to the CD/DVD drive when creating a backup
  • Save/Load Report File screen F1 key opens the wrong Help topic
