Merging Duplicate Activities (Versions 12 and higher)


Please note: This article applies to Versions 12+. Older versions of the software did not have this merge option.

Accidently created two activities for the same VBS group? Want to simplify your activity setup? There could be many reasons for wanting to merge activities and PowerChurch contains a feature to handle all of that.

  1. First of all, use the PowerChurch Plus Backup feature located under the Utilities menu to make a backup copy of Membership data. You may choose to backup All Data Files as an extra precaution.
  2. We would first recommend navigating to the current list of Activities & Skills and reviewing the two activities you intend to merge. You can do so by going to Membership > Activities & Skills and Maintain Activities & Skills.
  3. Once you have confirmed the two activities you wish to merge, start by navigating to Membership > Activities & Skills > Setup and finally Merge Activities.
  4. Here you will be met with a From and To field. Select the respective activity for each field using the magnifying glass or by entering the activity numbers. Verify you have selected the correct accounts before continuing. Once you are sure of your selection, click the OK button to finalize the merge.
  5. Head back to the Maintain Activities & Skills to verify your results.
