PowerChurch Online - Printing Problems

When printing checks and mailing labels from PowerChurch Online, users have reported that the labels are not in alignment and the fields on the check stock do not line up properly. We have found that this is due to a setting in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

When printing something to your local printer, PowerChurch Online generates a PDF document, then transfers it to your local computer, and then sends it directly to the printer. There is a setting on the Print dialog of Adobe Acrobat Reader called "Page Scaling". This is intended to unify page sizes in PDF documents to print properly across all models of printer, regardless of the printable area of the page.

The default value in this field is to "Shrink to printable area". This setting needs to be changed to "None".

To change this setting, you will need to have a PDF document open. The easiest way to do this is to click the following link, to open the PowerChurch Software order card.

Once the document opens in Acrobat Reader, click the Print button, or go to File > Print. This will open the following screen:

This may look slightly different, depending on the version of Acrobat Reader that you have installed.

The Page Scaling option can be found along the left edge of the Print Options dialog, as highlighted in the image above. Change this field to "None", then click OK to print the document.

Please note, these settings will not be saved if you click Cancel instead of clicking OK.

The "Page Scaling: None" setting will retained as the default behavior in Acrobat Reader.
